I've been busily working away at adding a few more features to the site since creating my own new theme for it yesterday.

As a happy Hugo user, this is not a post I had expected to be writing.

However, I've decided to begin migrating my blog from Hugo to Zola.

There are a couple of reasons for this. None are especially convincing.

One issue I ran into pretty quickly in Zola was: how do you reference images in the markdown of a post?

This blog has existed in one form or another since April 2010, when I registered my first blogging domain.

Unfortunately, after multiple domain migrations and several tech stack changes (WordPress → Hugo → Zola), a number of my older posts were lost.

I recently had the opportunity to visit North Stradbroke Island, located just off the coast of Brisbane.

After a small blogging hiatus, it seemed time to check up on my sites to see how they were doing.

First question: do they still build?

Turns out the answer was no.

After reviewing some landscape photos from a recent trip, I noticed that several had tilted horizons and needed straightening.

When I opened them in GIMP, it wasn't immediately clear how to do this.

My prior blog has been running on Cloudflare Pages for a couple of years now (since moving away from GitHub Pages). However, when I originally set it up, I never wrote a blog entry - and now I can't remember what I did.
